CredAbility Class Helps Couples Enter Marriage with Realistic Financial Expectations, Set Goals
ATLANTA, GA, — Sometimes when couples become engaged to be married, they put off discussing their financial needs and goals until after marriage – and often, that can be too late.
“Saying ‘I Do’,” is a one-hour webinar that helps couples prepare for the financial side of marriage. CredAbility financial education specialist Laura Creamer will teach the one-hour webinar at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 11. People may register for the class by going to https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/254628320
“Couples who believe that they’ve found their perfect match need to address their financial problems before these problems cause irreparable damage,” Creamer said. “This course will teach couples how open and honest communication before you walk down the aisle can help to identify areas of concern and build a foundation for financial success.”
At the end of this webinar, couples will be able to:
- Understand the importance of talking about their current financial situation with your future partner;
- Write down and discuss future financial goals;
- Understand the importance of discovering their partner’s attitudes toward spending and saving; and
- Identify steps to take if your future partner has a spending problem or their attitude towards money is extremely different from yours.
